How to point a QR at the right TikTok URL

TikTok has fewer URL types than Facebook but more nuances than most generators handle. Profile, video, Live, Shop, plus the in-app TikCode format that confuses everyone. A thin QR generator gives you one box. The actual work is picking the right surface, copying the canonical URL, and choosing a standard QR over the proprietary TikCode. This guide covers the three URL types that matter.

The canonical TikTok URL formats

Profiles use `tiktok.com/@yourhandle`. Videos use `tiktok.com/@yourhandle/video/VIDEOID`. TikTok Shop products use `tiktok.com/shop/...`. The legacy `vm.tiktok.com/CODE` shortener works for videos but adds a redirect hop. For posters, the canonical handle URL is the shortest, scan-friendliest form. How to copy the right URL from TikTok

Linking to a private account on a cold-scan surface. Non-followers see the gated profile and a follow request. The scan dead-ends. Switch to public for retail and packaging QRs, or use a link in bio that points at a public landing page on your own domain.
