Gujarat Police Photo and Signature Size Maker

Gujarat Police recruitment, run by the Lokrakshak Recruitment Board, uses the same brutal file limit as the state's civil service forms: both the photo and the signature must be 15 KB or less. The OJAS portal enforces it to the kilobyte, so for a recent thirteen-thousand-post cycle, compression is the real obstacle.

Output is JPG, resized to your pixels and kept at or under the max KB. If a minimum is set, the file is padded up to it. Always confirm the exact rules in the official notification.

The 15 KB OJAS limit

The Lokrakshak Recruitment Board, the LRB, fills the Gujarat Police constable cadre, including unarmed and armed constables, SRPF, and jail sepoys, through the OJAS portal. The same portal handles the state's other recruitments, with the same strict caps.

The photo is about 5 by 3.6 cm and the signature about 2.5 by 7.5 cm, each capped at just 15 KB and saved as JPG. As with the GPSC civil service form, the signature is a wide landscape shape rather than a tall one.

Pixel figures are not published for the police form, so follow the cm shape and the 15 KB cap. Check the exact rule on the OJAS upload page for your recruitment.

Getting under 15 KB

Fifteen kilobytes leaves no slack, so start from a small image. Resize the photo to the right shape first, which removes most of the size, then compress to a KB size to land at 15 KB or just under.

For the signature, the wide 2.5 by 7.5 cm box means a landscape scan, so resize it to that proportion before compressing. Because OJAS rejects anything even a kilobyte over, aim a little under 15 KB rather than exactly at it.

The Gujarat Police form is the constable recruitment, separate from the GPSC civil services form, though both run on OJAS with the same 15 KB cap. The tool resizes and compresses only and cannot change the background.
