What the UP Police board asks for
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, the UPPRPB, recruits constables, sub-inspectors, jail warders, and firemen. From 2025 it made a one-time registration mandatory, so your uploaded photo and signature carry across all of its recruitments rather than being entered per form.
A photo of about 3.5 by 4.5 cm at a file size near 20 to 50 KB and a signature near 5 to 20 KB are commonly cited for the constable form, both as JPG on a plain white or light background. The photo should be recent, within about six months, with the face clearly visible and no tinted glasses.
Exact KB ranges differ between the constable and sub-inspector cycles and between years, so check the photograph instructions in your current notification before you upload.
Size both files for the registration
Because the one-time registration reuses these files everywhere, prepare them carefully. Resize the photo to a passport shape and compress to a KB size so it lands in the 20 to 50 KB window, then size the signature the same way to its smaller range.
Sign in running hand with black ink on white paper, not in block capitals, and keep it the same signature you will use through the physical and document stages. A mismatch later can cause problems.
If a file drops under its lower limit, increase a too-small file to clear the floor. The tool resizes and compresses only and cannot change the background.
