HPPSC Photo and Signature Size Maker

HPPSC is unusual in one helpful way: its official FAQ accepts both a black-and-white and a colour photo, as long as you are clearly identifiable. The file limit is strict though, with both the photo and signature capped at 40 KB.

Output is JPG, resized to your pixels and kept at or under the max KB. If a minimum is set, the file is padded up to it. Always confirm the exact rules in the official notification.

What the Himachal form expects

The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission runs the HP Administrative Service exam, HP Judicial Services, and engineering and Naib Tehsildar recruitments. Do not confuse it with HPSC in Haryana, which is a separate commission.

The official FAQ lists a photo of 140 by 110 pixels and a signature of 110 by 140 pixels, each no larger than 40 KB and saved as JPG. Both a black-and-white and a colour photo are accepted, on a plain light background.

Some older guidance quotes 100 KB for the photo and 50 KB for the signature, but the live portal states 40 KB, so follow the current FAQ and your specific advertisement.

Hit the 40 KB cap

Set the dimensions first, then the file size. Resize to the listed pixels for the photo and signature, then compress to a KB size so each stays at or under 40 KB.

Sign on white paper with a black ink pen in normal running hand, not block capitals. A clear, legible signature compresses better and is less likely to be refused.

Because both a colour and a black-and-white photo are allowed, choose whichever is sharper at the small size. The tool resizes and compresses only and cannot change the background.
